Remy Schwartz, Executive Director (He/Him)

Remy leads the Conservancy's mission to connect people to the Palisades' parks and history. He works closely with the Board, the Palisades Interstate Parks Commission, and a large network of community, nonprofit, and government partners that steward this incredible park system.

Previously he was the Deputy Director of Brooklyn Greenway Initiative and worked with The Battery Conservancy and the Prospect Park Alliance. He’s an alumni of Hampshire College and a 2019 Environmental Leadership Program National Fellow. He has a Urban Parks Management certificate the from the Central Park Conservancy Institute for Urban Parks and is a certified NYC Citizen Tree Pruner. He's an avid cyclist, runner, and outdoors enthusiast who loves to explore the Palisades.

Emily Einhorn, Program & Development Manager (They/She)

Emily works across the Conservancy’s programs, development, and administration. Their role helps build organizational capacity by managing partnerships, events, and fundraising initiatives.

Growing up in the Catskill Mountains, the value of nature-based approaches to urban resilience and community well-being was instilled at a young age. Prior to joining the Conservancy, they worked with City Parks Foundation and Newlab, a climate-tech startup in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. They have also worked throughout NYC and the Hudson Valley as a metalsmith artist and jazz musician. In their free time, Emily is a passionate cook, cyclist, backpacker, runner, and tree identifier.

Michi Yoshikawa, Communications & Outreach Coordinator (She/They)

Michi supports public outreach, digital communications, donor relations, and general administration at the Conservancy.

Born in Japan and raised on Long Island, Michi’s upbringing fostered a deep respect and curiosity for nature and animals, largely influenced by family visits to various parks throughout the country. After completing her undergraduate studies in Japan, she worked at various mission-oriented organizations before earning a Master’s in Environmental Science and Policy at Pace University. She enjoys reading, guide running, squirrel watching, and women’s basketball.
