The Beach at Lake Superior State Park will be open to the public this Memorial Day weekend, starting Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Located on Dr. Duggan Road in Bethel, NY; the beach’s hours of operation are 9:00AM - 7:00PM, subject to weather conditions.

Admission fees are $5 per person; children under 3 years old are free. Lake Superior does participate in the Golden Park Program, which grants New York State senior citizens free admission to the park on weekdays only. Sullivan County veterans may also enter the park for free if they present their Sullivan County FAVOR Card.  

Park Information

Lake Superior State Park was added to PIPC's network of parks in 1968. Located in Sullivan County, NY about 20 miles west of Monticello, this 1,049-acre park is endowed with two exquisite lakes – Lake Superior and Chestnut Hill Pond. The park is managed jointly with the Sullivan County Department of Public Works.


Lake Superior is one of only four PIPC parks where deer hunting is allowed.
