Giant Stairs closed due to major rockslide
The "Giant Stairs" section of the Shore Trail near State Line Lookout is closed due to a major rockfall and slide. This area of the park is unsafe due to the risk of possible additional rockfall activity! Park staff is addressing the situation, and we will update the public as soon as possible.

Henry Hudson Drive is closed to vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians between Englewood Circle and Undercliff Picnic Area until further notice. Please donate to support recovery efforts as we work to reopen for public use.

Notice: Due to damage from Hurricane Ida Dyckman Hill Road (Englewood Cliffs park entrance) remains closed to all use (vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians) until further notice.

Notice: Palisades Interstate Park Headquarters building in Alpine, NJ has reopened for normal use and public access. Restrooms, water fountains, and vending machines are available.

The Palisades Interstate Park in New Jersey is about 12 miles long, a half-mile wide, and encompasses 2,500 acres of wild Hudson River shorefront, uplands, and cliffs. The Palisades Interstate Park is a National Historic Landmark and the Palisades Cliffs are a National Natural Landmark. The Long Path and Shore Trail are National Recreation Trails.
